The Light Won Book Coverby Barbara Joye, The Shift Guru

This book is a tutorial in co-creation.  As such, it begins with a declaration that The Light Won centuries ago and that the darkness in the world is due only to humanity’s need for there to be a dark, an ‘other’.

To begin to prepare humanity to become the dynamic co-creators we all are, The Light Won begins with an explanation of The Game of Duality and The Dance of Relationship.  The lifetimes in duality, when fully understood, explain many of humanity’s underlying beliefs.  It is these insidious beliefs which keep humanity from being the dynamic co-creators they were intended to be.

The Light Won delves into belief identification, providing the readers with examples of beliefs which may be running their lives without them even knowing it.  With the awareness of beliefs, the co-authors take us even further into the process of identifying beliefs.  By this process of identification, one can best determine what beliefs to retain and what beliefs to shift.  The decision of what to shift/adjust and the ramifications of such the shifts/adjustments are also addressed.

After the description of this concise process to uncover the beliefs running individual lives, The Light Won continues to the co-creative process.  By its definition, this is a five step process which includes the beliefs necessary to become a dynamic co-creator with The Divine/The All.

The book completes itself with a listing of modalities not often utilized to assist humanity in aligning to those beliefs most beneficial.  For each modality listed, a brief description and website have been provided.
It is the desire of the co-authors that each member of humanity become the dynamic co-creator they are intended to be, living lives of joy and abundance.  To that end, the co-authors ask you to consider the possibility of such an abundant life with the simple yet profound shift of beliefs.

By Margaret Coel

When the body of Kiki Wallowingbull, a troubled young Arapaho issilent spirit book cover found on the frozen banks of the Little Wind River on the sparse, open plains of the Wind River Reservation, the murder looks like the results of a drug deal turned deadly.  Except for the fact that Kiki had recently spent time in Hollywood trying to uncover the truth of what happened in 1923, when his great-grandfather had gone to Hollywood with other Arapahos and Shoshones to star in the silent film, The Covered Wagon.  Kiki’s great-grandfather was the only one not to come home.  Through the decades, the family has held to the belief that he was murdered in Hollywood.  Now the family is convinced that Kiki was killed because of what he had learned, and that someone is still determined to keep the past buried.

When Jesuit priest Father John O’Malley and Arapaho lawyer Vicky Holden are drawn into the investigation, they find themselves on a trail that leads through the dark world of drugs on the Wind River Reservation and, ultimately, the giddy no-holds-barred world of Hollywood in the 1920s, when the studios made the law and the murder of an Arapaho actor could be swept away.

Margaret Coel has a gift for crafting “compelling characters…to entertain her loyal fans” (The Denver Post) in each and every one of her Wind River Reservation mysteries.  Now, in The Silent Spirit she relies upon sparse and dead-on prose to interweave themes of vengeance,  social justice, and the powerful forces of memory in order to uncover the truth of the past and connect two homicides separated by nearly a century.
